Threat Assessment
Processes system-recognized threat data on observed individuals and environment. Higher ranks extend effective read range and allow simultaneous multi-target assessment.
Covert Movement
Reduces the character's system-visible signature during active movement. Other users' overlays have reduced ability to detect, track, or classify the character while this skill is active.
Small Arms Proficiency
Governs precision engagement in close-to-mid range with personal sidearms and service weapons. Optimized for single-target lethality rather than volume fire or suppression.
Threat Response
Reactive positioning skill. Triggers on system-detected threat to an assigned principal target. Governs Frame-driven response: moving to interpose, absorb, or neutralize incoming threat vectors on an assigned individual.
Vanguard Surge
Close-range assault burst. Drive-governed speed and impact. A short-duration output spike for breaking engagement distance, closing on a target, or delivering high-impact force in a narrow window.
Physical Conditioning
Frame reinforcement under sustained stress, fire, and impact load. The system actively maintains physical integrity when the body is under pressure. Not regeneration — continuity. The character keeps functioning at the same output level further into damage than they should.
Field Coordination
Task-lead eligibility, unit-level coordination, and (Rank II+) Task Authorization. Grants the equipped character formal system authority to coordinate allied units in a designated engagement, and (at Rank II and above) the active capability to register discrete tasks with the Integration as system-tracked events. At Rank I, this is operational eligibility — the character can be assigned as a task lead by an authorizing commander; the system recognizes the character as a valid command node. At Rank II, the character gains active Task Authorization: they can register a task with the Integration, assign a registered subordinate, and the system tracks the task as a discrete unit from start to completion, pushing command-function notifications to the assignee's overlay (`_— Integration: Mission Assigned_` and `_— Integration: Mission Complete._`). At Rank III, multiple concurrent tasks may be registered, civilian-contract registration is permitted (the task-category label persists as system data; institutional contract counterparty does not enter the system record). Higher ranks extend the coordination range, depth of system-supported override capability, and the scale of units that can be coordinated.
Command Designation
Marks the equipped character as the designated command element for an active engagement. On invocation, activates enhanced coordination processing for allied units in theater and surfaces a command-level threat picture — not 'who is the threat' (Threat Assessment) but 'what shape does this engagement take and where does it need to be commanded from.' Normally requires deliberate invocation by someone in a formal command role.
Designation Override
Executes a forced designation reset on the target. Drains all stats toward baseline, revokes equipped skills, strips designation to UNDESIGNATED, and reduces Integration Level to minimal residual. The system closes with [Begin.] — the same notification a newly Integrated child receives. Not a skill in the conventional sense; an institutional function the Integration makes available to authorized command elements.
Signal Suppression
Active overlay deception — blankets the character's stat profile. Controls what others read rather than hiding physical approach. Rank III: false profile to Threat Assessment queries. Rank V: appears as the profile chosen.
Presence Read
Social-espionage companion to Threat Assessment. Reads intent, social role, and behavioral pattern in real time.
Asset Conditioning
Governs development and maintenance of intelligence assets — building trust relationships, sustaining cover identities, calibrating source knowledge.
Exit Architecture
Governs escape route identification — systemic awareness of exits before they're needed.
Pattern Break
Counter-surveillance and behavioral unpredictability. The system flags when the character's own behavior has become predictable to a Signal-capable observer.
Kinetic Overload
Sustained escalation — system reinforcing Frame output proportionally to time spent in close contact.
Disruption Field
Localized zone that degrades overlay performance for enemies within close range. High-Signal, high-coordination enemies are most affected.
Iron Anchor
Area denial through positional presence. The Vanguard's chosen position becomes structurally significant.
Combat Trance
Drive-sustained operational continuity — suppression of pain, fear, cognitive load, and fatigue in favor of sustained engagement output.
Threat Mosaic
Campaign-level synthesis of incoming reports, engagement logs, and environmental feeds into a coherent picture of enemy intent.
Cadence
Governs operational rhythm of a unit — sustainable output over extended operations.
After-Action Integration
Post-engagement processing. The Commander reviews engagement data and the system identifies tactical errors, resource waste, and missed opportunities.
Resonance Wall
Persistent system-recognized zone around the Sentinel's position that attenuates incoming ability effects. Not a physical barrier — a field the system treats as resistance.
Ward Link
Formal system-recognized bond between Sentinel and designated principal. Integrates a persistent channel to the principal's threat status, location, and physiological condition.
Fortress Stance
Voluntary positional lock. The Sentinel chooses not to move; the system reinforces defensive output significantly in exchange.
Acquisition Lock
Pre-targeting phase skill — target identification, classification, and engagement commitment before the shot.
Suppression Architecture
Transforms sustained fire from damage into behavioral control.
Ballistic Environment
Environmental engagement mastery — reads surfaces, materials, atmospheric variables, and architecture as engagement tools.
System Cartography
Maps the local Integration architecture rather than physical space — nodes, seams, zones of thin coverage, processing concentrations.
Resonance Tap
Direct interface with Integration artifacts, structures, and equipment beyond standard overlay access.
Ghost Frame
Deploys a persistent overlay phantom — a false system-visible presence that other users' Signal reads and Threat Assessments register as a real character profile.
Echo Stabilization
Addresses Integration damage rather than physical damage — the degradation that occurs when a character's system connection is disrupted.
Metabolic Augment
Temporary stat modification rather than healing. At high ranks, temporarily shifts the target's stat balance toward a different designation profile.
Mass Stabilization
Triage at scale — maintains multiple simultaneous stabilization channels on critically injured individuals.
Flux Attunement
Governs behavior in Flux Storms, corrupted zones, and frontier areas where Integration coverage is thin or unpredictable.
Marker
Formal system-tracked tag applied to a target that persists across distance, cover, and signal interference.
Dead Reckoning
Navigation through Integration-dark space — areas where the overlay's mapping function is absent, degraded, or actively hostile.
Grief Architecture
Signal-based behavioral reading applied to sustained caregiving, counseling, or crisis mediation.
Witness Standard
Signal-accuracy applied to memory and recollection, producing testimony the system formally recognizes as anomalously reliable.
Labor Resonance
System begins treating the Vanguard's work site as an environment it is reinforcing — not their body alone, but the structural integrity of what they build.
Crowd Anchor
Iron Anchor developed in crowd management contexts — presence becomes a system-recognized stability point.
Institutional Memory
Surfaces recurring organizational decision patterns across years of observation.
Presence Weight
Echo investment applied to sustained community leadership rather than battlefield command. Physical presence changes ambient system behavior of a space.

Rarest Medic skill documented. The Medic can request access to the system's death record for a specific integrated individual.
Flux Shepherding
Flux Attunement extended to guiding others through hostile Integration environments.
Terrain Dreaming
System generates the map of adjacent unmapped space by inference from what surrounds it.
Covert Designation
Extends Command Designation: the Operative exercises command authority without the system making the authority visible to others' overlays.
Kinetic Bastion
Position itself becomes the weapon. Fortress Stance's positional reinforcement and Kinetic Overload's sustained escalation merged.
Resonance Command
Commander can restore system coherence of units under their command through the command channel itself — Echo architecture carries both coordination and stabilization.
Clandestine Ward
Ward Link operates behind a Signal Suppression field that hides the relationship rather than the Sentinel's profile.
Dark Engagement
Lattice-pattern recognition substitutes for system-assisted targeting in dark space; Flux Attunement provides the stability buffer.
Null Transit
Movement through system-architectural seams — locations that exist in the Integration's self-model as acknowledged absence.
Field Anchor
Maintains a bubble of system coherence in Integration-dark space, Flux Storm conditions, corrupted zones.
Cipher Command
Commander operates as an invisible node in a network of units — coordination active, command status suppressed, Signal read of the social environment integrated into the command picture.
Flux Read
Passive: sense the formation and proximity of Flux Rifts within detection radius. Active (Rank III+): identify Rift characteristics — escalation state, stability, collapse proximity. Rank V: read structural signals from Rift behavior.
Storm Walking
Navigate active Flux Rifts with reduced environmental effect. At high ranks, the Rift environment becomes functionally advantageous rather than hazardous.
Rift Affinity
Passive: Flux Rifts in proximity don't escalate as aggressively as the operator's raw Flux score would predict. Active (Rank III+): deliberately calm an escalating Rift through sustained presence.
Pattern Disruption
Introduce unpredictability into monitored behavioral environments. Flux-governed actions read as statistically noisier than baseline, degrading behavioral prediction data opponents receive.
Rift Architecture
Read the structural composition of a Flux Rift as intelligible architecture rather than chaotic hazard. Higher ranks enable prediction of Rift behavior and identification of structural intervention points.
Resonance Read
Detect and interpret the emotional and system-state of high-Flux individuals through interference patterns rather than direct Echo reads. At high ranks, assess a target's relationship with the system itself.
Chaos Engine
In elevated-Flux environments (active Rifts, high-Flux zones, active integration anomalies), Drive-governed actions draw on Flux as a contributing attribute rather than Drive alone.
The Unmodelable
The system's behavioral prediction models for this operator carry persistent degradation. Opponents using system-intelligence tools (Threat Assessment, pattern tracking, behavioral prediction) receive probability assessments for this operator's actions that are systematically less reliable than the same tools would produce against other operators.
Second Wind
Once per engagement, restore stamina and clear minor fatigue penalties mid-fight. Higher ranks clear deeper fatigue and, at Rank V, auto-trigger when stamina would drop below zero.
Hold Through
Committed attacks complete even under incoming damage that would normally interrupt them. Damage taken during the commit still accrues — the strike is not protected, only the completion of the strike is guaranteed.
Iron Stance
Forced-movement effects (knockback, grapple, displacement) resolve at reduced magnitude while the Sentinel holds position.
Defiance
While below 50% stamina or actively sustaining a charged principal, output does not degrade with accumulated damage. Rank V ignores pain-penalty modifiers through injuries classified as incapacitating.
Patient Watch
Fatigue penalties from extended surveillance postures (crouched, prone, constrained) accrue at reduced rate. Cognitive degradation from watch-hour fatigue delayed.
Cold Discipline
Emotional-valence modifiers (fear, fury, grief) do not degrade Signal reads or skill-invocation timing.
Sustained Fire
Suppression and area-denial fire output holds longer before the system flags fatigue-degradation on accuracy or cadence.
Discipline of Position
Prepared firing positions retain zeroed-in overlay data across hold durations that would normally require re-sighting.
Crunch
Time-compressed repair or fabrication under engagement-window pressure. Cost: deferred Drive/Frame depletion post-task.
Marathon Build
Long-duration fabrication and system-build projects hold cognitive focus across sessions that would normally require breaks.
Triage Endurance
Casualty-load decision-making holds fidelity across extended triage events. Priority-sort accuracy does not degrade with casualty count.
Bedside Vigil
Continuous patient-monitoring overlay maintains at full resolution across multi-day holds. Micro-state changes surface regardless of watch hour.
Forced March
Extended movement over hostile terrain accumulates fatigue at reduced rate and distributes across the unit when the Scout is lead element.
Sleepless
Sleep-deprivation cognitive penalties onset at delayed threshold. The skill does not eliminate the need for sleep — it defers the cost until after the objective.
Long Watch
Solo overwatch posts hold productive Signal-read quality across cycles that would normally require rotation.
Rally
On invocation, unit-attached personnel within command range recover one tier of morale/fatigue penalty and have skill-invocation cooldowns reduced for the next engagement window.
Voice That Holds
Personnel receiving the Commander's comms feed do not break under environmental or morale conditions that would normally trigger panic withdrawal.
Unbroken
The Commander's own morale/fatigue state is floored above the breaking threshold while command authority is active. Deferred cost resolves when command ends.
The Thread
Long-running analytical tracks hold structural coherence across multi-week work. Parallel investigative threads maintain priority-weighted state without rehydration cost.
Deep Read
Sustained focused engagement with a single data object surfaces structural detail inaccessible to standard survey.
Interrogator's Patience
Interrogation-session cognitive output holds at full resolution across session-lengths that degrade a standard operator.
Iron Will
Echo-based suasion effects (command override from opposing Commanders, Resonant influence, system-auth compulsion at tiers below institutional) resolve at reduced magnitude.
Last Stand
Passive with triggered active. When the character crosses a system-assessed mortality threshold, output on all offensive skill invocations is buffed for a final window.
Pain Suppression
Deliberately silence pain-penalty modifiers for a declared duration. Cost accrues silently as stat-drain debt and resolves as Frame damage when the suppression ends.
Relentless
Declared pursuit of a named target (operational, investigative, or social) maintains priority-weighting across arbitrary durations. The target does not drop out of the character's operational picture while the character is conscious.
Flux Sense
Provides continuous passive awareness of Flux energy concentration, flow patterns, and Flux-active phenomena within detection range. Higher ranks resolve finer structure and greater distances.
Acoustic Analysis
Continuously isolates meaningful signal patterns from ambient noise in complex sensory environments. Higher ranks increase resolution, range, and the ability to separate overlapping patterns.
Ghost Step
Passive baseline: character exists at slightly different density than occupied space, providing persistent system signature reduction. Active mode: full environmental integration — character moves through space without displacing it, bypassing physical and system-level detection simultaneously.
Load Bearing
System extends Frame efficiency during sustained positional hold and impact load. Reduces Stamina drain while maintaining a fixed position under fire or physical pressure. Governs Frame (primary) and Drive (secondary).
Terrain Read
Environmental assessment for positional advantage, threat approach vectors, and cover quality. System annotates the overlay with tactical geometry of occupied space.
Route Assessment
Reads facility or environmental layout as tactical geometry. Identifies alternate paths, bypass opportunities, attention gaps, and structural vulnerabilities. Output formatted as overlay share for Commander receipt.
Pattern Recognition
Identifies structural repetition in complex data sets. Reduces processing time for pattern-based analysis. The system highlights recurring structures in overlay, accelerating recognition without requiring deliberate analysis.
Systems Analysis
Identifies structural patterns in complex systems. Reduces processing time for multi-variable analysis tasks. Operates on organizational, mechanical, and system-level structures — not just data sets.
Team Sense
Provides real-time status awareness of all fireteam members: HP%, SP%, Signal processing load, attention distribution, Echo resonance, and emotional texture. Higher ranks resolve finer detail across more members.
Resonance Channel
Tactical communication across resonance-linked team members. Transmits pulse-sequences, partial stat shares, and threat reads directly. Not verbal — information encoded in system resonance. Fidelity of receipt depends on recipient Echo.
Tactical Relay
Projects surface-of-mind tactical state over resonance channel — SP read, current load, threat texture — in a compressed format the Commander receives as immediate overlay data. Faster than verbal communication.
Ambient Medical Read
Echo-derived passive awareness of nearby team members' physiological and system state. Not dominant, not absent — background context that informs all medical work without requiring deliberate assessment.
Resonance Triage
Extends the Medic's own Echo into the subject's system connection. Reads disruption, suppression, and neural loop instability from inside. Provides a stable resonance anchor the subject can follow toward baseline — 'here is what settled feels like, follow this.'
Neural Diagnostics
Identifies disruption shape, suppressor type, and loop characteristics in a subject's system connection. Dual-governed: Echo provides the resonance read; Signal provides the pattern classification. Primary governing stat for unlock: Echo.
Field Treatment
Physical trauma treatment with Echo resonance component. Addresses both tissue damage and system weapon discharge effects. The Echo component accelerates healing by reinforcing the system's own repair protocols. Governs Echo (primary) and Lattice (secondary). Knowledge transfer component at higher ranks.
Close Quarters
Improves effectiveness in close-range physical engagement. System-assisted positioning, timing, and impact delivery at melee range. Frame-governed: the system reinforces existing physical capability.
Structural Reinforcement
Frame-derived damage conversion. Incoming damage is partially absorbed by system-reinforced tissue rather than depleting Health. The reinforcement is not invulnerability — it is expensive damage. Higher ranks increase conversion rate and threshold.
Impact Economy
Movement efficiency for large-Frame operators. System assists in minimizing physical presence during approach and maximizing decisiveness during engagement. Makes a large-Frame character harder to track during movement and harder to stop during engagement.
Shield Projection
Active. Projects a system-recognized defensive barrier centered on self, on a designated principal, or on a fixed point within Echo-scaled range. Incoming damage is absorbed at a rate proportional to Echo investment; the projection collapses when its capacity is exceeded.
Field Medicine
Active. Direct healing of biological damage on a target the Medic is in physical contact with. The Integration manipulates local biology — tissue closes, blood replaces, broken structures rejoin — at a rate scaled to Echo. Stamina cost scales with damage repaired.
Echo Resonance
Passive while equipped. Active on invocation. Allows the Medic to read and operate on the system-connection layer of a target — the relationship between the patient and the Integration itself, distinct from the biological state. At higher ranks, healing operates on this layer instead of (or in addition to) tissue.
Bio-Modification
Active. Applies temporary stat-modification to a willing target through controlled intervention. The modification is real but bounded — it has a duration and a recovery cost. Higher ranks extend duration, increase magnitude, and reduce post-modification debt.
Field Engineering
Active. On-site fabrication, repair, and improvisation using available materials and field tools. Distinct from blueprint crafting (which produces deterministic system gear) — Field Engineering operates on whatever the Technician has at hand and produces a working result, not a registered one.
Electronic Warfare
Active. Disrupts conventional electronic systems and degrades Integration overlay function for hostile users within range. Operates at the seam between conventional comms infrastructure and system-overlay communication — the Technician interferes with both with the same skill.
System Architecture
Passive. Reads the underlying structure of the Integration overlay as intelligible architecture — not its outputs (Threat Assessment, Resonance Read) but its substrate. The Technician sees what the system is doing, not just what it is reporting. Higher ranks identify exploitable seams, blind spots, and unmonitored regions.
Drone Command
Active. Deploys and coordinates autonomous drone units. Higher ranks increase deployment count, operational range, behavioral complexity, and the system's willingness to treat drones as extensions of the Technician rather than independent units.
Tactical Command
Active. Coordinates multiple fireteams or unit-scale formations within an extended command range. A higher-tier successor to Field Coordination — where Field Coordination establishes command authority for a single engagement, Tactical Command operates across simultaneous engagements and longer-range coordination.
Variant Body
Passive. Damage taken registers in the Conduit's overlay with anomalous variance. Actual damage absorbed differs from predicted damage by ±20% at Rank I, widening at higher ranks. The variance is genuinely unpredictable in either direction. The system records the variance without explanation and does not refine its predictions across encounters.
Outlier Recovery
Passive. Recovery rates from injury, fatigue, and stamina drain fluctuate unpredictably. The system's predictions for when the Conduit will return to combat-ready state are systematically unreliable. The variance trends survival-favoring across long timeframes but is genuinely random in any individual instance.
Trajectory Break
Active. Mid-action redirection. A committed strike, a committed movement, a committed engagement angle — the action the system was modeling abruptly resolves at a different endpoint. Stamina cost scales with the magnitude of the redirect.
Decision Spike
Passive with autonomous trigger. Cannot be invoked deliberately. When engagement-stress thresholds cross system-flagged values, the Catalyst executes actions that arrive ahead of their own reasoning. The action the system flags as suboptimal resolves as unexpectedly correct.
Interference Read
Passive. Reads the structured absences in social and network behavior — what isn't being said, who isn't being included, where eye contact isn't going, what topics consistently route around. Conventional social intelligence reads the positive space; Interference Read reads the negative.
Network Stutter
Active. Introduces structural ambiguity into how members of a group read each other's intentions and roles. Not deception about content — disruption of relational structure. Effect persists for the duration of active invocation; collapses when the Resonant disengages.
Echo Distortion
Passive while equipped. Active on invocation. Counter-Echo work — the Resonant's presence degrades hostile Commanders' command-radius effects within the affected zone. Compliance bonuses to subordinates reduce, synergy timing windows narrow, force-multiplication effects collapse partially or fully depending on rank.
Anomaly Mapping
Active. Reads corrupted zones, system glitches, and aberrant phenomena as intelligible structures. Where the system itself flags these as unclassifiable, the Wanderer reads them as coherent patterns. Distinct from Rift Architecture (which reads built Rifts) — Anomaly Mapping reads what the system failed to build correctly, or what something else built and then broke.
Architect Trace
Passive. Detects pre-Integration / Architect-origin architecture at extended range. Surfaces residual structures from before activation that conventional sensors miss — installations buried under newer construction, artifact patterns embedded in landscape, the bones of the system beneath the construction the system surfaces.
Deep Pattern
Passive. Long-duration pattern recognition operating in Flux interference bands the system does not track at full resolution. Sees patterns the system's own monitoring would not flag — because the patterns operate where the monitoring is thin. Distinct from Pattern Recognition (Signal-governed, surface-level) and from The Thread (Drive-governed, persistence): Deep Pattern operates structurally on data the system does not consider trackable.
